Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the Rezidor Hotel Group's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children's rights, health and safety, as well as environmental improvements. Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organization, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world. All employees continuously get proper training in heart & lung training and First Aid.
For the security of our guests as well as employees we are part of Safe Hotels

Environment

• We actively work with energy and water savings, by investing in products and services that will better benefit our environment.
  To further enhance this we purchase specific organic products from nearby farms to offer our guests at breakfast.
• We have refillable soap dispensers in all rooms and public areas and we participate in the Rezidor towel and linen change programme.
• We prioritize suppliers that have a clear environment plan, for example our external laundry company is one of the few to have environmental certification.
• Our goal this year is to replace all our company cars to environmental friendly options.

Community
Responsible business is not only about the environment; we are committed to our local communities and schools with many different types of activities throughout the year. We co-operate with Solna Stad to welcome long term unemployed into the workplace as well as for foreign students learning Swedish.
Charities that we sponsor are among many Non Smoking Generation and Childhood. To further take our responsibility we have had since 1999 sponsored two children from developing countries in Plan.
